I don’t know about you, but I love a powerful computer with an elegant look. That’s why I am addicted to my iMac. It is a beautiful machine with a gorgeous display, but it costs a lot of money. You know what else that money can buy? A Surface Pro 3. A maxed out 12-inch Surface Pro 3 is more expensive than my 27″ iMac, but you can get this tablet with 64/Intel i3 for only $799.

As someone who lives on a tight budget, I find it naive to invest in a device that is not easily repairable. But there is no question Microsoft has built a tablet that can replace a laptop. At these prices, you need to have a good reason to be able to justify buying a Surface Pro 3.
In the meantime, it seems the Surface Mini has been delayed for now. Multiple sources have reported that Microsoft decided to cancel its announcement because it is not different enough to compete. It remains to be seen what Microsoft does with that project.
