Sony PRS-T1 Spotted On Dutch Site
0Many e-book reader fans got their start with a Sony Reader. Sony may have failed to use its early-mover advantage to keep Amazon at bay but it still remains a somewhat relevant player in the e-reader business (barely). The company does plan to bring more powerful e-readers to the market. Take PRS-T1 E-Reader. This unit will have a 6 inch screen with multitouch screen and WiFi capability.
The device will have 2G internal memory. Its storage can be expanded with a microSD card. As SlashGear reported, Sony PRS-T1 is expected to weigh under 6oz . Here is a summary of PRS-T1 specifications:
- 6-inch E Ink Pearl display
- Multitouch screen
- 2GB Internal storage
- 800 by 600 pixels resolution (16 GSL)
- WiFi support
- Plastic body
- Google/Wikipedia search support
- Supported file formats: EPUB, PDF, MP3, AAC, JPEG, PNG, POISON, BMP
The device was priced about 165 euros on Bol.com (has been removed now). It looks solid on paper but still does not have enough features for NOOK or Kindle owners to switch to it.
