Refurbished Kindle Available for $99?
0Amazon does not always announce every move that it makes. We all already know about the price drop that Kindle 3G with special offers received just a short while ago. The company has quietly dropped the price of Kindle WiFi refurbished by bout $30. The device is now up for grabs for $99.
It is no secret that Amazon has used refurbished Kindles to test out its new pricing strategies in the past. Considering that Amazon will have 2 new Kindles up for grabs in the near future, we can’t blame the company for trying to pass on these refurbished Kindles as fast as possible. Jeff Bezos may not be a fan of touchscreen E-ink readers. At the same time, a Kindle Touch seems to be needed for Amazon to effectively dominate B&N and Kobo.
Amazon is expected to have a couple of Android tablets up its sleeves too. According to Cens, Amazon’s tablet will be budget-friendly with less features in comparison to premium tablets:
Amazon`s tablet PC features simpler technical specifications than competing models on the market and hence is cost efficient, reflecting the newcomer`s ambition to quickly gain a huge consumer base in the competitive landscape with budget-priced hardware and steadily carve out big profits with application software.
Cens suggests Amazon could ship 3M tablets this year. That could spell trouble for its competitors such as B&N.
