B&N E-Reader for iPad Debuts
0B&N Nook fans have had to wait quite some time to get their hands on the Barnes & Noble’s Nook app for iPad. The wait is now over. B&N has just released an Apple iPad to give Nook owners another way to read their e-books. B&N E-reader, which is free, gives you access to thousands of titles and even gives you the chance to lend your books to other iPad owners (or Nook owners for that matter).
Once you download the app, you are going to be provided with a few sample books to get you started. Three classics are included too. The built-in Merriam-Webster’s dictionary is handy too. More importantly, synchronization of notes and highlights across multiple devices is supported.
BN E-Reader for iPad supports multiple font types and has a quite sleek interface. It does have a few minor glitches (especially when you change your reading mode from portrait to landscape). But it’s a decent start by Barnes & Noble. I have not tested LendMe on this app, but it’s most likely very similar to its counterpart on Nook. Let’s hope B&N makes it possible to purchase books from within the app, without having to deal with a browser.
Your turn: how would you improve B&N E-Reader for iPad?
