Motorola Xoom Released
0iPad 2 is not the only tablet to be excited about. Xoom is an all powerful Android tablet that could do wonders for those of you who have tried Kindle and are still looking for a LCD-based tablet for your reading needs. The device is considered by many as the first true challenger to iPad’s dominance.
Motorola Xoom has a 10.1 inch screen and a NVIDIA Tegra dual-core processor inside. It does have 1 GB RAM and two cameras for video chat and taking pictures and videos when you are on the go. Unlike Apple iPad, Xoom will provide support for the latest Flash technology in the near future.
Xoom won’t be cheap by any means. It is selling for $799 (3G version) on BestBuy. A WiFi version is expected to makes its debut soon (will be priced around $600). Xoom won’t be a Kindle killer per se, but it gives people who are sick of Apple’s controlling ways a decent option for their next tablet.
