Microsoft & B&N Scaling Back Partnership?
0One does not have to be a genius to realize that B&N has not had a good past few months. NOOK tablets did have some potential but bombed for the most part. Microsoft paid B&N millions to keep Nook going. But it seems both sides are now ready to scale back their partnership. As the Wall Street Journal has reported, Barnes & Noble will stop work on Windows 8 and phone apps to focus on supporting a MS-created digital reading service.
B&N has tried so hard to make a profit in this market. Whether this move helps in any way is not clear. The company has been in trouble for a long while. There doesn’t seem to be a way out for it at this point.
