Looking for a Refurbished Kindle 2?

We have been complaining about Amazon not failing to put those refurbished Amazon Kindles up for sale. Amazon has been somewhat controlling when it comes to Kindle, and for a long time did not offer refurbished Kindles to keep selling those new units. But it seems Amazon is softening its stance on the issue. If you have been to Amazon.com lately, you have probably seen Amazon pushing the original Kindle 1 (refurbished). Now I am not sure whether paying $149 for a refurbished Kindle 1 is worth it, but it’s certainly more affordable than Kindle DX and Kindle 2.0.

Refurbished Kindle 2.0 units are also up for sale on Amazon. You can get your hands on one for $189. A lot of people are somehow afraid of taking a chance on refurbished units. It’s true that you can get extremely unlucky with your refurbished unit but for the most part these units are worth taking a chance on. Amazon is not offering refurbished Kindle DX units for now, but it won’t take long before those are offered as well.
