Kindle Voyage Does Not Support 3rd Party Apps

Amazon Kindles are not exactly known for being the most “open” devices. But it’s always been possible to run third-party apps on Kindle e-readers. The Kindle Voyage may be a premium e-reader, but it does not third-party apps. At least, that’s what Avwriter@Mobileread has found out. Amazon has simply dropped Kindle Active Content support when it comes to the Kindle Voyage. Considering that the Appstore has a long way to go to satisfy Kindle Fire owners, Amazon has its work cut out for it. Will too many people miss these apps? I doubt it.
