Kindle Scribe: The Next Amazon Kindle?
0Amazon may be great at producing e-book readers but it is decisively weak when it comes to keeping secrets. Many of us have been able to guess some of the company’s moves based on the domains it registers for its business. KindleScribes.com is the latest domain registered by Amazon. Its next e-reader is expected to have a touch screen, just like NOOK 2G. There is a good chance its owners will be able to take notes on the device with a stylus.
The name does remind me of LiveScribe, a superb pen that syncs text and audio notes. Offering such a feature on Amazon could be a deal maker for some. The last time we heard about one of these domains, Amazon brought out its cloud-reader for Kindle just a few days later. This does suggest that Amazon may be planning to launch a new, improved e-reader in a matter of couple of weeks.
Amazon has been cutting its Kindle prices lately. Refurbished Kindles are getting so cheap these days. These moves do suggest that Amazon is getting ready to launch new products though. From the rumors that we have heard, Amazon will release 2 Kindles (one premium version) and 2 tablets in the upcoming months. The exact launch date for these devices are not known.
