Kindle In The News – 05.05.09
0The Kindle rumor mill is in full action, and we are hearing all kinds of rumors about the new Kindle 3.0. Kindle 3.0 is going to be the large Kindle device that Amazon tested a while ago. It’s designed to help newspapers and college students. While the news was somewhat unexpected, it has generated incredible buzz around the net, and we are only 3 month into the Kindle 2.0 era.
Here is what the web is buzzing about:
- Amazon to Launch Kindle for Textbooks: a complete coverage of Kindle 3.0 and how it will help Amazon expand its business.
- Will a new Kindle and other e-readers save newspapers?: that’s what the industry experts have been talking about in the fast few weeks. The newspaper industry is in serious trouble, and even Warren Buffet didn’t want to throw them a bone.
- Amazon Kindle or Apple Tablet — What’s Your Choice?: a question I have been meaning to ask here. With Apple working on a Mediapad, would you invest in both a Kindle and Mediapad or will you settle for one? Why?
- Apple iPhone “Mediapad” Could Be a Kindle Killer: it probably won’t be a Kindle killer. And it’d be interesting to know how much it will cost (read my post on Mediapad).
When will we see Kindle 3.0? Amazon hasn’t disclosed the information just yet but it seems the release date is very imminent. Could it be released before the Mother’s day? Wouldn’t that be sweet?
What’s your take: will you upgrade to Kindle 3.0?
