Kindle For PlayBook Coming?
0Blackberry PlayBook is not a tablet that has excited a lot of people. iPad 2, XOOM, and the latest ASUS tablets have a leg up on the device. Besides, PlayBook does not run Android or iOS. So it will be limited in some ways. For instance, PlayBook owners still do not have access to a Kindle app for that device. This is not exactly a good way to give Playbook buyers confidence about the future of the product.
It was only a month ago that Amazon customer service claimed Kindle for PlayBook would be released shortly:
Kindle for BlackBerry Playbook is not yet available, but stay tuned. You can view our Kindle apps currently available and discover when we’ve released Kindle for BlackBerry Playbook by following the link below:

Many PlayBook owners have expressed their anger and disappointment with this situation. After all, some of them picked their device to read e-books on. I still do not understand why some folks have given Playbook 1.0 a look instead of waiting for the 10″ Playbook. It is a new device on a platform that is not as popular as Android or iOS. The current PlayBook is a work-in-progress at best. It has not received that many glowing reviews from “honest” testers.
Amazon will introduce a Kindle app for PlayBook and TouchPad in the near future. It could take a couple of weeks or more. Most experts don’t expect PlayBook and TouchPad to be serious players in the tablet market at this time.
