Kindle for Android is Out
0Kindle’s app family is almost complete. Amazon has released Kindle for Android to give Kindle fans yet another reason to be excited about the Kindle platform. Android is one of the fastest growing platforms around, so it was just a matter of time before Amazon took advantage. Just like other Kindle apps, Kindle for Android lets you read your books on your Android phone and automatically syncs the last page you have read across all your Kindle-powered devices. You can purchase books from Amazon Kindle store (which is optimized for Android interface). You are going to need an Android device that runs version 1.6 or above.
This is one of the best moves Amazon has made in a while. Android is going to overtake iPhone in a matter of few years, and Amazon Kindle is on both platforms. It would be even better if Kindle was powered by Android, but one can’t have it all. The lingering question at this point is what Amazon should do with Kindle hardware.
