The Kindle Fire HDX: Not That Easy To Repair
0The Kindle Fire HDX is one of the most powerful 7 inch tablets on the market. It is true that you don’t get Google Play on it. At the same time, you get plenty of Amazon goodies to keep yourself busy. As always, the folks at iFixit have posted a teardown for this device. While the new Kindle has fast hardware, it is not that easy to repair. For instance, you can’t replace the battery easily.
Here is what’s inside the new Kindle:
- 7″ display with 1920 x 1200 resolution
- Quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon processor
- Dual band, dual antenna (MIMO) Wi-Fi
- Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and built-in microphone
- Front-facing HD camera
- 16/32/64 GB internal storage
Most of us don’t even try to repair our own gadgets. In this case, it won’t be easy anyway.
