Kindle Fire HD Shipping now, 8.9 Inch Version in November
0In the past few days, you may have seen the Kindle Fire reviews by popular tech blogs. You don’t have to wait any longer to own one of those new Kindle Fire HD tablets. Amazon is already shipping the 7 inch version with “one day delivery” available as a shipping option. Not everyone is impressed with the new Kindle Fire. While it does have a better screen and faster processor, the software still has some issues to be worked out.
The new Kindle Fire HD has a 10 point capacitive touch HD color display with 1280×800 resolution and video playback at 720p. It weighs only 13.9 inches. It comes with at least 16GB internal storage. The battery life could last you for as long as 11 hours. You get dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi (MIMO) too. Of course, your tablet will be fully compatible with the Amazon Prime content.
The good news is you can get this tablet today. The bad news is the 8.9 inch version will debut in November. By that time, we have probably heard about the iPad mini already. It will be interesting to see how Apple releasing a smaller iPad will affect Amazon’s plans.
