iPad 5 Coming in Q3?

Apple has been selling a good number of iPad Mini devices since it launched the product last year. The iPad Mini 2 is already in the works and will have a Retina display. That does not mean Apple is giving up the bigger iPad. According to Trendforce, the iPad 5 will hit the market in the third quarter of this year. It will offer design improvements and could cost Apple less to produce. Apple is not expected to drop iPad prices anytime soon though.

Firstly, for the improvement on product design itself, the next generation of iPad will apply the thin GF2 touch module of the same level as iPad mini and use the narrow bezel panel design to solve the issue of larger volume, thickness, and weight that have been criticized to gain a better balance for consumers in mobility and visual experiences

The iPad used to dominate the tablet market by a huge margin. But will have to compete with its mini sibling in the upcoming months. Android tablets are rising but no iPad killer is on the horizon.
