iPad 2 To Debut On March 2nd?
1It is that time of the year again. E-book reader makers are again gearing up to bring their latest and greatest products to the market. While we do not have any news on Kindle 4’s release date, we now know iPad 2 will be announced on March 2nd. Apple has already sent out invitations to the members of the media to give them a preview of what iPad 2 will be all about.
From everything we have heard about iPad 2, it does not seem to be a huge upgrade over iPad 1. For instance, just a few months ago, people expected iPad 2 to ship with a retina display. Now it seems Apple is setting aside some of those most wanted featured by iPad fans for iPad 3. Still, iPad 2 will offer:
- a more compact design
- a better, anti-reflective screen
- camera for FaceTime
- more memory (up to 128 GB)
- a three-axis gyroscope (not confirmed)
iPad 2 is expected to go for roughly the same price as iPad 1. Considering that many Android tablets are more expensive than Apple iPad, the company won’t have to be more aggressive with its pricing strategy at this point.
Your turn: iPad 2 or an Android tablet. Which will you buy?
