HP TouchPad Receives Mixed Reviews
0HP did not enter in the tablet business to play second to iPad or Android tablets. Its TouchPad won’t be doing that considering that reviewers have been disappointed with its performance so far. HP TouchPad is a first generation tablet. It was never going to be perfect anyway. At the same time, for a tablet that goes for as low as $499, HP TouchPad is somewhat limited. Not only it does not have many apps, it has a chunky design too.
As Laptop Magazine’s review shows, HP TouchPad has a design that may not cut it in the tablet world today. Its battery life is around 8 hours. iPad 2 can last as long as 11 hours. HP TouchPad badly needs more apps. The fact that it will come integrated with Kindle is nice to see though. This is still a very expensive device if you are picking it up to read books only.
We do hope that HP goes back to the drawing board to fix some of the issues that HP TouchPad suffers from. The TouchPad is a nice try by the company. At the same time, the game is moving on fast. HP needs to step up its game in a significant fashion.
