0Are you a fan of Harry Potter books? You can now read Harry Potter books on your iPad, Kindle, and NOOK. The author of this franchise has decided to bypass Amazon, Apple and other e-book sellers and launch her e-books through Pottermore.com. The site is expected to get millions of visitors in a fairly short period of time. It will offer Harry Potter books in DRM-free format.
Pottermore.com is expected to include additional information on characters in this franchise. With the last Harry Potter film coming to theaters in July, the site is expected to keep the momentum for this series until the author decides to write some more books on the subject.
I am not a fan of Harry Potter books by any means. But this project could serve as a blueprint for independent publishers who want to go beyond e-book platforms to reach more people.
