Hacked Kindle Touch Plays Video

Most of us use our e-ink e-readers to read e-books. The technology does have slow refresh rates so you are limited to what you can do on e-ink e-readers such as the Kindle Touch. That does not mean these e-readers are not capable of playing videos though. A developer, who goes by the name “Ehhh” at the Mobile Read forums, has posted a video showing Kindle Touch running an episode of Simon’s Cat.
Recently, we have seen a few of these hacks for other e-readers, including the NOOK Simple Touch. The playback is not the smoothest as demonstrated in the above video. E-ink e-readers such as the Kindle Touch will never be great for watching videos without a better screen. But it is nice to have the option.
