Google Working On a Dual E-ink Screen E-Reader?
0The idea of e-readers with two screens is nothing new. There is a good reason many of the early model have failed and done so miserably. But that does not mean we can’t see them in the future, especially with flexible displays coming. In fact, Google has a patent application for an e-book reader with two E-ink screens. By the look of things, Google is studying multiple configurations for such a device.
Just like other patent applications, we shouldn’t expect Google or its partners to release any of the devices discussed here. With flexible displays only getting better, the idea of dual-screen tablets, laptops, or e-readers is plain silly. I suppose such a tablet could work well in certain markets (e.g. for students).
