FAA Panel: Wi-Fi is Safe During Takeoff

Those of you who fly frequently are familiar with the rules when planes are taking off or landing. Having to turn off your WiFi in the middle of your work is annoying but something we all do to avoid accidents. The trouble is WiFi signals don’t pose a risk to the majority of aircraft currently flying. It is only a matter of time before these rules are changed or relaxed.
Don’t get your hopes up yet though. There will be tests and more tests before anything tangible comes out of this. The FAA will consider the committee’s recommendation but you should just follow what they are asking you to do and turn off your WiFi during takeoff for now.
