One of the best ways to save money on expensive gadgets is buying refurbished models. You can save a decent amount of money on MacBooks and other expensive gadgets that way. I have never quite understood the appeal of refurbished Kindles, considering that these are cheap tablets and e-readers. Amazon has them up for grabs anyway. It has a new page for recertified Kindle devices, so you can go through and compare different models.
Should you get refurbished Kindles? That is up to you. The discounts available are not significant though. These units do come with a full one year warranty which is a plus.
