Beware of Black Friday E-reader Scam Deals
0Black Friday is always one busy shopping day. Many people prepare for this event weeks or months ahead of time, hoping to get what they need for a major discount. While shopping stores do offer some good deals on this day, people should probably not expect to get 50% off on devices such as Nook or Kindle. BestBuy.com’s ad scans for Black Friday 2010 show that Nook will be going for as low as $100. But we are talking about the first generation Nook. Amazon did not offer a major discount on Kindle during the last Black Friday event. We do not expect that to change this year.
Unfortunately, scam artists are already out trying to capitalize on the Black Friday event (see screen-shot above). Some people are so eager to nail some killer deals that they will take the bait and fall for some of these scams. As much as Amazon would love to get a major boost in sales by cutting its prices, it simply won’t be offering 50% off on Amazon Kindle devices. Apple would not go for a major discount either. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Still, $100 Nooks are going to be very much in demand.
