0By now, everyone knows that the Kindle Touch is already out of stock and Amazon may be preparing to release a new wave of tablets and e-readers to the market. We just have to wait till September 6th to find out. It is also not a secret that Amazon may be looking to bring even more tablets and gadgets to the market in the future. GeekWire”s sources are now suggesting that Amazon is testing a device with a screen resolution of 768×1024. This is the same resolution as the iPad. But a new tablet is not what Amazon is working on. It could be that the company is planning to enhance the resolution of the E-ink screens of its Kindles.
Amazon’s current e-readers offer a screen resolution of 600 * 800. By adopting a higher quality display, Amazon gets to instantly sets its product apart from those of its competitors’. LG already has a flexible E-ink screen with those specifications. Amazon needs to do something to get folks more excited about its Kindles. Improving their display could be just that.
Of course, Amazon may be working on smartphones or other gadgets. So it is tough to get a read on this at this point. But Kindles with higher quality screens will be more than welcome at this point.
