Amazon Releasing 2 Smartphones, Wearable Gadgets Next?

Amazon has already announced its Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fire e-readers and tablets. The company is not done though. We have known for quite some time that Amazon is interested in releasing its own Kindle phones. The Verge is now reporting that the company is working on two smartphones, one of which will have a 3D user interface. As discussed on Hacker News, the Amazon phone:
- will be available in 2 versions, a budget model with the Kindle Fire software. The other version will be expensive and feature a 3D UI. We will have to wait till next year to get it.
- could have been here already had it not been for software and hardware difficulties.
- might have image recognition, so users can take a picture of any objects and search the Amazon.com database for similar products.
These are just rumors at this point. But it is highly likely that Amazon will be entering the smartphone market soon. I would not be surprised if Amazon offered Kindle Smart Glasses in the very near future.
