Amazon Makes Mistake in Kindle Fire iPad Mini Comparison

We are a big fan of Amazon and Apple products. But dishonest advertising and inaccurate comparison charts are not something we appreciate from either company. Amazon’s aggressive iPad mini / Kindle Fire comparison table was never perfect. It only highlighted Kindle Fire HD’s strength and iPad mini’s weaknesses. It turns out Amazon could not get even that right. In the initial graphic, Amazon listed the iPad mini as having a mono speaker. As it turned out, the device does have stereo speakers.
Amazon did not get everything wrong. While the iPad mini has a premium build, it is overpriced for what it offers. The fact that it does not have a retina display is a huge deal breaker. Amazon also offers its Priime customers plenty of free movies and content to watch on their e-readers. It will be interesting to see whether Amazon will re-introduce that comparison chart with the correct information in the future.
