Amazon GLP70 Codenames Leaked: Kindle Fire HD 2?

Amazon is going to announce new Kindles soon. The Kindle Fire HD is still a pretty decent device but it is now time for Amazon to introduce better models with faster processor and other hardware upgrades. Rumor has it that Amazon will be releasing new Kindles in August or September. According to @evleaks on Twitter, Amazon is working on a project codenamed Amazon GLP70. It is hard to guess what this codename stands for exactly at this point.

Unless Amazon is planning to unveil its Kindle phone in September, there is a good chance the above project is related to the Kindle Fire family of products. Unless something unexpected develops, the current Kindle Fire HD is not going away and will be reduced in price to give Amazon a better chance to continue reaching more homes.
