iPad Mini 2 Retina Coming in 2013?

I don’t know what to think here. The iPad mini is a pretty awesome tablet. But it does need a better screen. Unfortunately, Apple might not have the Retina models ready for us this year. At least, that’s what the rumors were pointing to till today. The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Apple is working on mini iPads with higher resolution displays. In fact, the company is relying on LG, Sharp, and Samsung for display technology.

Considering that non-Retina iPad mini devices are already being tested by Apple, it is hard to guess what the company will release later this year. The new iPad mini tablets will have the A6 processor inside. That means they are going to be faster and more responsive. But the new Nexus 7 also has a fast processor and a beautiful display. Apple will have to step up or it will lose even more market share to Android.
