B&N Extends NOOK Deals
0It is now clear that B&N is trying very hard to get rid of its NOOK inventory. The company has been struggling to keep NOOK a profitable business. The NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ devices are decent tablets but B&N has had to rely on heavy discounts to get people interested in them. The father’s day sale on the NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ was pretty insane. B&N has decided to extend that for a while. That means you can get a NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ for as low as $129 and $149, respectively.
Considering that these NOOK tablets have Google Play, you will be able to continue using them even if B&N completely goes away. It is more likely that its NOOK division will be acquired by another major company. As far as this deal goes, B&N, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target are offering these tablets for low prices for now.
What’s your take? What do you think the future holds for B&N and its NOOK business?
