Google Play Books for iOS has finally been updated to catch up with its Android counterpart. For starters, the app has seen substantial improvements in performance and stability. Users will be able to look up locations using this app. Just tap and hold on a place name to see the description and map of that place.

Google Play Books also provides support for Fixed Layout EPUB books. It can handle Japanese material better. The update is available for free on the App Store.
