Amazon is expected to release a Kindle phone in the near future. The device will be priced aggressively to allow Amazon to reach even more homes. What is Amazon doing to prepare? For starters, it is hiring new talent. Charlie Kindel, a former mobile developer at Microsoft, has already joined Amazon. His LinkedIn profile lists him as working on something wonderful at the company.
What could be he working on? That is not exactly clear. But considering all the rumors we have been hearing, it is possible Kindel and his team are developing Amazon’s next product. We will have to wait a bit to see what the Kindle phone will look like. Amazon already has had success with its tablet strategy. The smartphone business is a whole other animal though.
