The exploit is very similar to the one that was pulled off for the Kindle Touch. You just need to upload a certain file to the root directory of the Kindle Paperwhite to get started with the process.
Once you have jailbroken your Kindle Paperwhite, you will be able to display different information like the weather on your device. You will also be able to hook the Kindle up to a Raspberry Pi for more fun. What could go wrong? You might brick your device if you fail to follow the instructions. As the hacker explains:
