Will iPad Mini Be Popular? Survey Suggests So
0We have heard a bunch of rumors about Apple releasing a smaller iPad to the market in the upcoming months. Apple is already selling a ton of iPads. But a 7 inch device would let the company go head to head against Amazon’s Kindle Fire and other devices competing in this market. According to PriceGrabber’s survey, more than half of U.S. consumers would be interested in the rumored 7 inch iPad mini. That is as long as the device is priced between $249 and $300.
Over 2600 online shoppers were polled for this survey. Only 22% of them owned a tablet, but 68% of owners had an iPad. Those surveyed showed interest in cheaper, more portable slates. Thin body, display, Siri, and iOS 6 were among other features important to tablet shoppers.
It will be interesting to see whether Apple releases a smaller iPad to the market in the upcoming months. The company may not have enough reasons to do so considering that the Kindle Fire is already struggling to keep its momentum. Of course, things could change with the launch of Google’s upcoming budget tablet. We highly doubt the iPad mini would go below $300 anytime soon though.
