Kindle Fire 6.2.2 software Released
0Amazon has released yet another update for the Kindle Fire. If you have been checking Amazon’s website for these updates, you have probably not seen that (the site has not been updated with the latest information at the moment). This update enables full screen browsing in the Silk web browser. This is more significant to those of you who have rooted your Kindle. Just like any other update, it will remove your root access. So if you have hacked your Kindle Fire already, you want to be careful about this update.
The good news is the BurritoRoot utility app has been updated to help Kindle Fire owners get around this latest release. The instructions on how to use this utility are already available at the xda-developers forum. Your Kindle should get the latest software over the air. Of course, you can download and install it manually.
What features would you like to see Amazon introduce in future updates?
