How To Return Kindle Ebooks
0Have you ever ordered a Kindle e-book by accident? Maybe you picked up a Kindle book only to realize it has issues or is not worth what you paid for it. Many e-book buyers assume that all their purchases are final. That is not the case with Amazon. The company has one of the best customer service teams around. As long as Kindle content buyers contact Amazon’s customer service within its 7-day return period for Kindle content, they should have no trouble returning their Kindle e-books and getting their money back:
Any content you purchase for Kindle from the Kindle Store is eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within 7 days of the date of purchase. Once a refund is issued, you will no longer have access to the item. To request a refund and return, click the Customer Service button in the Contact Us box in the right-hand column of this page to reach us via phone or e-mail. Please make sure to include the title of the item you wish to return in your request.
Returning gift content is possible as well. You just have to let Amazon’s customer service team know that you want a gift card in exchange for returning your gift:
Any content you receive as a gift from the Amazon Kindle Store is eligible for exchange for an Amazon.com Gift Card before acceptance. To request an exchange, click the Contact Us button in the right-hand column of this page to reach us via phone or e-mail. Please make sure to include the gift order number of the item you wish to return in your request (located at the bottom of your gift notification e-mail).
This process is offered for legitimate returns. You do not want to abuse the system. If you need to return your Kindle e-book, don’t wait.
