Amazon Fire TV is finally out. It is a super fast set-top box that has a lot to offer if you are already reliant on Amazon content for entertainment. So how easy would it be to repair this $99 box? As far as repairability goes, iFixit has given the Fire TV a score of 6 out of 10. It has a simple construction, which makes things easy. You will have to deal with sticky glue and a single board that if fails, you will be out of luck. Still better than some other set-top boxes we have seen.
